Lega del filo d’oro (Italy)

On December 1, 2017, the Lega del filo d’oro project was inaugurated in Italy. For more than 50 years, the nonprofit Lega del Filo d’Oro has been educating and integrating into society children and adults who are hearing- and vision-impaired or suffering multi-sensory impairment. Its sole objective is to of help them out of the dark and silence and to give them an opportunity to express their potential and achieve a greater level of autonomy. Simona d’Altamura, Events Manager, and Stefano Pastacaldi, Product Manager, met some volunteers working for the association and decided to present to the Foundation the project to create a new center for the nonprofit. This center has become a reference for people with these disabilities. It is a source of pride for the Foundation.

The Foundation provided funding of €80,000 for this project. Several Group companies donated an equivalent amount in materials and products bringing the total donated by the Group to around €160,000.
